Piobaireachd or Ceol Mor is a musical genre full of spirituality, born in the Scottish Highlands. Each of the 9 notes of the bagpipe seems to express the memory of an extinct world.
Patrick Molard became, despite his Breton origins, one of the highest ranking custodians of this Scottish musical tradition, having been trained by the disciples of the great masters of Piobaireachd: the MacCrimmons. It all starts with an ancient manuscript found in an attic. Patrick Molard is one of the few able to decipher its content, unknown compositions that have not been played for the last 300 years. He applies the same method as his masters , linking each composition to emotions and legendary tales. These manuscripts maybe hold the keys to the mysterious origins of Piobaireachd and the end of an era where clans ruled the Scottish Highlands, before being chased from their lands.
