A pop up cafe will raise funds for the RNLI at the weekend.

Saturday 19 January will see the cafe installed in Portree Community Library from 11am until 3pm.

Anyone with questions at Broadford's new hospital hub can head along to two public information sessions.

The facility is to be sited on land adjacent to the Dr MacKinnon Memorial Hospital in Broadford and the Broadford Health Centre.

Designs for the new hub will be on display at the events.  The first session will be held at the Lighthouse Christian Centre, Kyle of Lochalsh on Wednesday 6 February from 1pm until 6:30pm.

The second event will be held in the Portree Chamber, Tigh na Sgire, Portree on Thursday 7 February, at 1pm – 6:30pm.

Join stand-up comedian, poet, improviser, and TV stalwart, Phill Jupitus, for over an hour of tales, laughs and diversions.

The experienced funny man will drag laughs out of the chaos of his own life in the new show, SASSY KNACK.

Since last touring Scotland, Phill Jupitus has upped sticks and moved there. In this new show, Phill shares yarns and thoughts from his time North of Hadrian’s Wall.

Adult themes and situations but delivered childishly.

Phill became a familiar face when he started as team captain on BBC2’s pop quiz Never Mind The Buzzcocks in 1996, which went on to run for 19 years. Aside from Never Mind the Buzzcocks and live stand up shows all over the UK, he also appears as a regular guest on QI (BBC2) and Alan Davies As yet Untitled (Dave), and in 2012 returned to television stand-up for the first time since 2000 with an appearance on Live at the Apollo (BBC1).
